From the Review Files of Turn Off Your Mind...
Recent months have seen the release of several fine albums of the slow,
expansive music sometimes called "space music"...interesting both for the music and the
concepts behind (it). BOZO adagio's Turn Off Your Mind, Relax
And Float Downstream features
synthesized versions of familiar folk songs slowed down so that each note is held for about
30 seconds. Ths songs are rendered completely unrecognizable, but the overall effect is quite
relaxing.

I must admit, though, the relaxation/chant/no stress CDs are like having your ass rubbed
with sandpaper but hey, that's just me!
---David K. Johnston
Thanks so much for the last CDs you envoyed to me.
They are really beautiful and
so good for my program...I hope also I'll have soon other good news from you.
So thank you very much and best
regards.

Your ambient recording reminded me of Brian Eno's
experiments with "passive listening" in the 1980s.
I found myself crying
while listening, but a lot of things bring that response now.
You should
probably take that to mean that I enjoyed it.
---John Brower
Pleasant and relaxing, but it will never make it to the car CD
magazine. I'd drive off the road. It's good accompaniment for a night home alone with
a good book, a snifter of single malt scotch and one of those zen water/rock/candle
thingamajigs. If the music starts to get monotonous, drink more scotch.

The one that really hit me was the "Float Downstream" album.
Don't know exactly why, but can't get enough of it.
Great concept, and well executed.
Christa and I are diggin' it without a shovel.
---Brian Callanan
I recorded the adagio CD and play it really loud while driving
when I have to transport teenagers - it confuses them.
On one trip Sunday we tried to 'sing along' to "Amazing Grace", a humorous exercise in patience.
---Dan Peterson
I haven't even gotten to the smiley face CD yet because I have been playing the meditation one over and over again and it has been so calming as I have tried to do ten thousand things, rushing from place to place, this week!
Thank you so much! I was thinking that I would use it for meditation during retreats this year and would be
happy to sell copies of it at the retreats...
